Hi Dina! Haha. You are not alone. We have the same sentiments. In my observations, marami pa rin talaga dapat baguhin sa ating mga pinoy. Kawawa naman mga kababayan natin.

i appreciate u guys for xploring phil arch and am too is quite addicted tothis kind of hobby. however, i consider some priority in spending my hard earned money. and kudos also to mr ryan who is very kind assisting you . Whenever I travel especially in north I make sure that I ride in V liner considering its cleanliness, very courteous drivers (and really professor the way they handle the job) and seldom involved in road accidents. right now am planning to pack up and hit the road to aurora province. Im still inquiring if they have a bus plyin over there.

Very helpful blogs really.... just one question with regards to travel time... hoping to get first hand experience instead of what the liners suggest... how long does it take to travel by VLiner from Caloocan to Zambales (Sta Cruz) if i take the midnight bus. Trying to estimate the trip cause i dont want to be arriving at Sta cruz at 3am in the morning (was told that the bus takes 5-6 hours) but this varies specially in the evening trips :P.. thanks
\
by the way, our plan is to go to Isla Vista (Potitpot Island)

Hi Dennis, Check out my article on Batanes for more info. From Cagayan, you have either a choice of waiting for a cargo ship that travels from Laoag (I dont think they are reliable and the voyage is extremely long and uncomfortable). AFAIK I don't know if there are regular ships that ply Tuguegarao to Basco. There are seasonal flights between Tuguegarao to Basco via Chemtrad. Don't bet on it. If you can pull out a map- Cagayan is WAAAAAAY far from the Batanes Islands.

Your best bet is still by flying from Manila. Seriously.

Please check out the article on Pangasinan under the Destinations List- Here's the instructions:

Getting There

If you are not coming with a tour group, there are many buses that ply to different points in Pangasinan. If you are heading to the Hundred Islands in Alaminos and Bolinao – Victory Liner and Five Star Buses leave Manila as early as 12 midnight. For going back to Manila, Victory Liner only goes as far as the Cubao terminal from Bolinao during Fridays and Saturdays. Skip the ordinary buses of Five Star as they can be extra filthy. Other bus lines that go to Pangasinan are Dagupan Bus Line, City Trans, and Philippine Rabbit. There are jeepneys and mini-buses between towns as well as tricycles (motorcycles with sidecars). Do not forget to take a road map of Pangasinan before embarking on a trip.
