hey im currently searching for my thesis proposals and im glad i found this site..im really surprised that there is kind of place mt masungi that is comparable to grand canyon..and its actually in tanay only..i know rizal is such a wonderful place and now this really made me believe that the main problem here is lack of promotion..we have so much to offer with our 7107 islands, each has its own distinction..that is why my focus on my thesis is the conservation, development and promotion of our less popular tourist attractions..mt masungi is deffinitely a perfect one..i hope u could help me more about this..tnx for this ryan..:)

Thanks guys,
Glad that you liked my Rizal article. Rizal has always been overlooked because it is too near Manila..but it is a great quick getaway place. :) Cheers all!

hey ryan!
it's really good that some people take notice of rizal. i grew up here and been to a lot of places for retreats and trainings.i suggest you check out the Sierra Madre Resort and nearby resorts in Tanay. also the Rizal Recreation and Caliraya in Laguna...it's good for camping, retreats and just a get away if you need solitude..they offer buffet style food and lots of activities like beach volleyball with a huge ball to pass around...If you want to refresh yourself spiritually, i suggest u check also Touch of Glory Prayer Mt.,it's in Tanay also....
have fun!
God bless!

Nice article about this wonderful town that is often taken for granted. I live along Ortigas Extension and have long thought of taking a random trip to several places in Rizal since the place is very accessible to me. I will definitely visit the centuries-old churches and try the exotic cuisine! Thank you for this write-up Ryan.

I think the security situation in Rizal is just fine. We did not encounter anything untoward at all even if we went almost close to the Sierra Madre mountains. Thunderbird resorts has an okay security plan, we think, as it hosts casinos too. :)

Hi Lino,

We did not include Club Manila East in Taytay because we only usually include places here that we actually have been to, thus, we cannot have an impartial review of the place.

You missed Club Manila East in Taytay, Rizal with great water sports (man-made waves for surfing, man-made lake for boating, swimming, water slides), driving range, tennis, pavilions that can accommodate even a thousand, cabanas and lots of rooms for accommodations. - Lino
