wow! I really didn't know that Iligan is surrounded by waterfalls! Wow! I've been there last month. We spent a day vacation with my friends and office mates. We went to Tinago Falls and Maria Cristina Falls. We traveled from Davao City to Iligan for 8 hours. Yeah! We were all exhausted and sleepy. As we arrived at Iligan we all giggled in excitement. My friend told me that there were many resorts at Iligan. We went to Tinago Falls first. Wow! The place was simply amazing! God is so creative and powerful to make such a beautiful place to live in. There were children diving in the deep blue water. We went to Maria Cristina Falls in the afternoon. My friend told me that no one is allowed to swim because the current of the water. She's right! The falls is so tall and simply beautiful! I wish I could go there again! Thanks for sharing your blog :)

i would just like to say that the beauty of lanao del norte doesn't only stop in iligan. if possible, do not limit yourself to iligan only because there's a lot more spots in other parts of lanao del norte. try dapit-alim in simbuko, kolambugan, cathedral falls in kapatagan(different from that of iligan), mountain resorts in salvador and of course you will surely miss half of your life if you dare exclude the (only) 24/7 alive barangay maranding(it's like a city, trust me!)
thank you!!

anyway, there's a clandestine white beach in pigkalawag in sultan naga dimaporo a.k.a karomatan...

Hi Ryan, next time you go back to Lanao del Norte swing by the town of Maigo. It's a beautiful place and the people are friendly. I came from there and my family still lives there, in fact , I'm going back to visit in a few months, God willing. Aside from that, you wrote such wonderful things about my province and its people and thank you. It's truly unfair for us , people from Lanao, that Mindanao/ Lanao have been portrayed as a warzone. We live in this planet of ours and anywhere you go there's always gonna be some kind of trouble going on cause by troublemakers but I think there are more of us that happen to be peaceloving people and despite the chaos, for lack of a better word, around us we manage to keep peace within ourselves. Inner peace of the soul is very important and with that we are able to project that peace out into the world. PEACE!

Splendid article about lanao norte. There is a magnificent cave at the town of Tagoloan and more waterfalls in Kapatagan. In the year 1977, I think the assembly man was the father of Congressman Abdullah D.Dimaporo, the Late Ali Dimaporo. just check it out if I'm correct. thanks

Hi Sweety, I don't think they touch tourists at all, and like anywhere in the world, one must always keep your wits. :) Hope you would get to know your home province more. :)
