Is June July August a good time to visit Philippines?

Question

John Vanek: Hi. I came across your website. Very helpful. I noticed that it advised against going to Philippines during June-July-August because of weather, however I have also seen on other sites that the weather is not so bad during this time in Central Visayas and NE Mindinao. Do you find this to be true?

Thanks for your help! It’s appreciated.

John

Ryan:Hi John,
Thanks for dropping by these pages! Re:July-August weather, well usually this are usually the wettest months of the year for most parts of the country (but with global warming these days, who knows right?). That’s why traveling can be hit or miss if you are looking for the beach sunshine. Although, Bohol, Camiguin and areas of Northern Mindanao can be an okay destination during these times as most typhoons hit Luzon and the rest of the Visayas and usually the I mentioned earlier are not usually part of the typhoon alley. In another way though, July-August are one of the best times to hit the surf! If you surf, the waves are definitely better and bigger so yeah, it really depends on what you are planning to do in the the country. Hope that answers your question.
Cheers
Ryan
