Karen,

It is on the article, :) -

Getting There

If you are not coming with a tour group, the National Park is accessible by land travel through Alaminos City. From Manila it can be reached through the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) connecting to Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) or the McArthur National Highway. Alaminos is 250 kilometers away from Manila – 4 hours by private vehicle, 5-6 hours by bus (Five Star Bus Inc., Victory Liner, Dagupan Bus Inc. and Philippine Rabbit Bus Inc.). If you are taking the bus, ask to be let off Alaminos City, and board a tricycle (fare is about PhP40 – not more than that) and ask to be taken to the Lucap Wharf. You may also alternatively get a map prior to your trip as well. Maps by EZ Maps found in gas stations, hotel lobbies and bookstores are very helpful.

Hi Cathy,

I can still remember the ocean fog covered sunrise in Sual! Beautiful place. As far as I can remember, all of the boats are required to have life vests for their passengers, before leaving the wharf, make sure you ask for one. Make sure of course you keep your son close to you at all times. Not all of the islands got life guards. The waters in some areas are deep even when close to shore (save for Children's Island where the waters shallower).

I hope that answers your questions, Pangasinan is a lovely place with lovely people. I hope you enjoy your stay there! Make sure to come back on this site to share your experiences with us! :)

Cheers,

Hi Ryan,

Great information here.

We are going to Pangasinan this Holy week and stay at my mother's house in Sual. this is our 1st time to visit and we plan to go to the Hundred Islands.

I just want to check with you, when we hire a bangka in any of the contacts you suggested, do they have a life vest for us to use? I jus worried because we will be going with my 8 year old son and I would just want to make sure we are all safe.

I hope you can advice us. thanks for all the great information regarding Pangasinan. It's one of the great places in the Philippines that needs more promotion.

Regards,
Cathy

HI Alisha,

If you will be coming from Manaoag - you should probably take a bus going to Lingayen/Dagupan and from there take another bus going to Alaminos where Hundred Islands National Park is located. There are frequent buses from Lingayen/Dagupan to Alaminos and vice-versa. If you are on the bus headed out to Alaminos, make sure to ask the driver to drop you off somewhere close to Lucap Wharf (or just tell them that you are going to Hundred Islands). If in total doubt, make sure that you get a map (like the EZ Map of Pangasinan) and ask locals for directions. You should be fine really. :)

Cheers,

Hello,
Great article!

I would appreciate it if you could give me idea on how to go to Hundred Islands coming from Manaoag Church. My friend and I are planning to have this trip on Sunday but as of now we still dont know where and how should start the trip.
BTW, we will just take a bus preferably Victory Liner in Pasay City.
Thanks in advance!
