Hi Beth,

I think diving is off-season from July-February (asiadivesite.com/philippines-dive-sites/marinduque/). I couldn't find any dive shops in Marinduque online although apparently there is said to be at least 3 in the province. Your best bet is to do a live aboard from Boracay or Puerto Galera or try to check with the hotel or resorts you are planning to stay in Marinduque.

Cheers,

Hi Adrian,

No problem mate, I will try checking more diving sites in your area although as you know little is known in that area. If you should know of any more dive sites, please do not hesitate to post it here so it would be helpful as well to other divers looking for more sites in the Luzon East Coast. The Ilocos Norte dive site seems to be a little bit far but hey I think youd like to great culture, food and other tourist spots there as well. Do not forget to check out my articles on the Ilocos Provinces (Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur and Pagudpud.)

Cheers!

Hi Adrian

As of the moment I do not know any dive sites specifically off Isabela. But you may be interested in the dive sites off Ilocos Norte and Cagayan Province.

You may check the dive site in Mapurao (Cagayan Province) which has apparently crystal-clear waters, reefs teeming with fishes ideal for diving, and fine, white sand beaches and in Balaoi (see dive shops in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte) - beautiful coral and marine life, as well as reports of wrecks.

Cheers,

The Philippines was once again named as one of the top 10 dive destinations in the world, this time by Japan’s leading diving magazines and given at the recent 17th Marine Diving Fair (MDF) held in Tokyo, the largest diving fair in Asia, the MDF Awards are among the highly-acknowledged commendations for must-visit dive destinations in the world.

Other dive sites ranked in the top 10 are - Maldives, Palau, Ishigaki Island; Saipan, Okinawa Island, Zamami Island, French Polynesia, Mizako Island, and Guam.

Hi Thomas,

I heard Sipadan indeed was a very good dive site (it is very near the Sulu Sea), although, have you tried diving in Tubbataha Reef in Palawan? You are missing out on a lot of good dive sites in the Philippines. :) Philippines was just named as one of the top three dive sites in the world after Maldives and Palau, although the marine life is way more diverse in the Philippines. Where have you dived in the Philippines before?

I still prefer diving in Malaysia than Philippines, the water seems so much nicer in that area. Sipandan is my 1st choice of diving site
