Visayas consists of several islands, primarily surrounding the Visayan Sea. The major islands of the Visays are Panay, Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte, Samar and Palawan. The region may also include the islands of Romblon and Masbate.
Mindanao is the second largest and easternmost island in the Philippines, and is the eighth most populous island in the world. The Cebuano language is spoken by the majority of people in Mindanao.
